During our inspection, we removed the baseboard to dry out the wall and ran into some black mold. The homeowner was hesitant to have the baseboards removed at first. Mold growth behind baseboards is one of the most common areas that mold grows after water damage. The homeowner was very happy that he allowed us to remove the baseboards. We performed a mold remediation and removed the drywall, insulation, and baseboards that had mold on them.
